- Engine and Performance: The P400 SV was powered by a transversely mounted 3.9-litre V12 engine, producing around 385 horsepower. This engine configuration, coupled with Weber carburettors, provided remarkable performance, with the SV capable of reaching top speeds of approximately 180 mph (290 km/h).
- Suspension and Handling: The SV received wider rear tracks and upgraded suspension components, which improved stability and handling. These changes addressed some of the earlier Miura’s handling quirks, making the SV a more refined and balanced car.
- Design Tweaks: Externally, the SV featured subtle but impactful design tweaks. The headlight surrounds, previously known as “eyelashes,” were removed for a cleaner look. The rear bodywork was also redesigned to accommodate wider rear tyres, enhancing both the car’s aesthetic appeal and its grip on the road.
- Interior Comfort: Inside, the SV boasted a more luxurious interior with improved materials and finishes, making it not just a high-performance vehicle but also a more comfortable grand tourer.
